چکیده

In non-invasive thermal diagnostics, accurate correlations between the thermal image on skin surface and interior human pathophysiology are often desired, which require general solutions for the bioheat equation. In this paper, a difference scheme for the Pennes with a space-dependent thermal physiological parameters and convective boundary condition on the top surface, was used to approximate the solution. Details computations indicated that the thermal states of biological bodies, reflecting physiology conditions, could be correlated to the temperature mapping recorded at the skin surface. The effect of the skin emisity, the convective heat transfer coefficient and the temperature of the sourranding air, the metabolic rate and the blood perfusion rate in the tumor, and the tumor size and number on the sensitivity of the thermography are comprehensivily investigated. Moreover the inverse problems consisting in the simultaneous estimation of unknow geometrical parameters (location size) of the tumor are solved. On the stage of numerical solution the pattern search algorithm coupled with the difference scheme has been applied.

Sequential estimation of linear combinations of the location and scale parameters in negative exponential distribution

Sequential estimation is used where the total sample size is not fix and the problem cannot solve with this fixed sample size. Sequentially estimating the mean in an exponential distribution (one and two parameter), is an important problem which has attracted attentions from authors over the years. These largely addressed an exponential distribution involving a single or two parameters. In t...

Experimental Detection of Composite Delamination Damage based on Ultrasonic Infrared Thermography

An experimental setup is designed to detect composite delamination damage based on ultrasonic infrared thermography. The ultrasonic infrared thermography system is composed by ultrasonic excitation system, infrared thermal imager and data acquisition system and two damaged composite plate specimens are produced in the experiment. The image processing methods including thresholding, filters, edg...

Thermal detection of embedded tumors using infrared imaging.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women. Thermography, also known as thermal or infrared imaging, is a procedure to determine if an abnormality is present in the breast tissue temperature distribution. This abnormality in temperature distribution might indicate the presence of an embedded tumor. Although thermography is currently used to indicate the presence of an abnormality, ther...

Classical and Bayesian Inference in Two Parameter Exponential Distribution with Randomly Censored Data

Abstract. This paper deals with the classical and Bayesian estimation for two parameter exponential distribution having scale and location parameters with randomly censored data. The censoring time is also assumed to follow a two parameter exponential distribution with different scale but same location parameter. The main stress is on the location parameter in this paper. This parameter has not...
